I just can’t Blog.
Hello people.
Welcome to my Blog. The reason for having this title for my first post is because before this, I’ve had at least 3 posts to start of my Blog and each on of them had something special in them and yet I found something missing. It just wasn’t perfect.
I remember working on a post for about 2 hours 2 days before Valentine’s Day as I thought Valentine’s Day would be ‘perfect’ to start of this Blog and I actually had a great eBook which I planned to giveaway for free for people visiting my Blog for the first time. However, that didn’t happen obviously. I thought something was missing, actually a lot of things were missing. I didn’t have a nice looking header, a custom logo or my picture[which I still haven't got] so I thought it won’t be good enough to start off this Blog without these things as then It would just look pale and not exciting enough.
The title also depicts that I have been meaning to Blog for more than 3 years now. Yes, 3 years. I did have various reasons not to Blog. I didn’t have anything different or special to say, I didn’t know the technicalities of various blogging platforms such as blogspot or wordpress, I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to keep up with it and not only that, I thought no one would read it at all.
Fast forward a few years I got into making money online and working from home. I did have a part time job but I got so passionate with working from home I quadrupled my efforts to get the freedom of not having to work for anyone and have my own online business. [for people reading this and not familiar with Internet Marketing and the sort, I am not a spammer or a scammer]
Overtime I had build a small list of subscribers which I still keep contact with and I asked them if it would a good idea to Blog and if yes, what would be the best name [I gave them some options to choose from]
The majority suggested maddiction and so Maddiction.com was born. However, I Still Couldn’t Blog.
I just didn’t know what to say or what to share. Most importantly I didn’t know what should be my first post. The feeling grew so much overtime I started feeling intimidated by the very thought of writing my first post. So here I am writing it, right now. And believe me my heart is beating faster than normal.
It started off as a spark in my head last week. I was simply restructuring my strategies of making money online and was thinking I had to start this Blog asap but then the daunting feeling came over me and I realized that I had actually begun to be scared by the very thought. One thing led to another in my head and I was shocked when I realized that ALL my life I have helped others overcome their fears by FACING them and actually overcame many personal mental blocks by facing the fears and doing things I was scared of, repetitively and it was by doing those things over and over again that I conquered my fears.
So here I am with my first Blog post and I’ve decided I am not going to wait for fancy little things like headers, footers, my logo and the sort and I’m not going to put blogging off anymore. I will build this place up with Your help obviously overtime. Its better to take action NOW then to take no action at all. So I’d rather build this place slowly then not Blog at all.
Although I know I’m starting off this Blog with a negative statement but it isn’t really a negative statement if you look at it. It is my way of reminding me what I am doing and overcoming the anxiety. That the fact that ‘I can’t blog’ is not true and I will need your help in proving this post title wrong and together we will make it a great place to hang out and share ideas and learn from each other.
This Blog is primarily going to be about how I make money online, sharing tips, advice, freebies and product reviews and also about freedom, self improvement and achieving personal excellence and empowerment but all the while keeping it real, factual and honest.
Before this turns out to be a long ramble and I don’t want to scare you off on your first visit here, I want to welcome you and thank you for dropping by. Also I must add that I’ve just finished writing my report about the Success Mindset for Online Entrepreneurs which I will be launching with my second post here so bookmark this page and show some love by sharing this with your friends.
Don’t forget to comment below.

Yup. Thanks for dropping by Rob. You’ve got a well designed blog yourself. I’m working on getting it to look a little better. And hey congrats John came back to the forum yay!
Hello Maddi!
I think you blog and post is great! We all have the problem of “what do I write?”The gurus even started somewhere! Good thing you finally started!
I think your theme of Personal Development is a great topic to write about. I have thought about getting into self improvement more than once!! Everyone wants to be better than they are! It’s human nature. =)
I can’t wait to see your Success Mindset Report. I know I have had some issues with the mindset! Now I just go with the flow!
There is so much that can be done online, it’s amazing!! And there are so many people on the internet. When you think you have done or said something that has already been done or said, there are millions of people who haven’t even heard of it!
And they all need to check out our blogs! YAY!
Take care and have a great day!!
Lisa~
You’ll get the first sneak peak through the forum before I open to the public. The writing is done and the graphics for ecover are made, just deciding on what rights to give with the report and then will send you a review copy
and yea thats exactly why too many people delay product creation because they think something similar has already been done where as thousands of people are getting online everyday and searching and buying information its impossible to cater all of them. I like your approach about it that there are millions who haven’t even heard of it.
Talk soon and thanks for coming.
Maddi

Hi Maddi,
Great to see that you finally overcame your ‘block’ and decided to just go for it! That’s awesome.
I love that you are so authentic in your blogging, you just talked about your personal struggle and I believe many people can identify with that as well. Good stuff!
I remember when I first started blogging, I still had a lot to learn BUT I certainly wouldn’t be where I am now if I didn’t start. Don’t let perfection be a hindrance, as one of my business coaches says, DONE trumps PERFECT every single time!
I know you’re going to have good success through your efforts online if you keep posting, keep sharing your personal value and keep being real.
If you’re ever stuck for good content, let me know and I’m happy to do a guest post or even contribute regularly to your blog. Let me know!
Believing In You!

Done trumps Perfect every single time – what a quote.
Thanks Thad for dropping by and it really motivates me when you guys come and drop comments it feels like i’ve accomplished something. It really inspires me to overcome more problems and share the experience.
As for authenticity, that is what this blog is going to be all about. I’m not going to fake expertise in areas that I’m not an expert in and help with stuff I know I really can and whilst at it I am going to remain absolutely transparent about my experiences so that my readers can relate to it and feel connected.
I plan to provide as much value as possible keeping absolutely transparent and sharing experiences at the same time.
I love the idea of guest posting and looking forward to discussing more about it.
Thanks a lot for coming here Thad. Appreciate it.
Maddi
I once read that perfection is the marketers worst enemy. Don’t wait till something is perfect, just get it out there. And besides, who gets to decide when something is good anyway?
You might think something is not so good but everyone else loves it.
Yup absolutely true. In fact on the other hand sometimes we don’t like something that is an absolute
best seller and everyone else seems to be going crazy about it so there is always gonna be people who
like something particular and people who don’t.
As for who gets to decide when something is good. You know I’ve always wondered that in a world where
everybody seems to be talking in terms of Normal, Realistic, Standard and the sort; I’ve always wondered
who decides these things? who sets these standards and who gets to say something is realistic or not.
Great thought Rob. Thanks for coming
Maddi
Great start Maddi. That is the key to most things isn’t it? Making a start.
What a great set of comments so far! Although I will add that while perfections actually get heaps of work done, they accomplish very little.
I was once in a flying competition (light aircraft) and there were points awarded for following all the correct procedures pre-flight all the way through to shutting down after the circuit and landing. The biggest points were for landing within a 20 metre section of the runway as the theme that day was pretending we were landing on an aircraft carrier. We would lose 1 point for every 10kn over the speed limit on the descent, 1 point for not checking the brakes were off prior to landing, etc. We gained points for landing in or close to the 20m zone.
Due to the strong winds that day every one of us misjudged the downwind leg and turned too early for our final approach. Almost everyone felt compelled to follow procedure by not exceeding glide slope angles, descent rates, etc. They saved several points for staying within set limits. The result was they saved a few points but they all landed in the hypothetical sea by missing the target landing zone.
After I made my turn I too realised I was too close to the runway to make a proper descent. I knew what had to be done. I broke almost every other rule in my approach, and lost 25 points along the way. But I was the only one who landed my plane on the aircraft carrier and walked away with the 50 point bonus for doing so.
I won the comp that day and learned a valuable lesson.
It is not always necessary to follow all the steps, to abide by all the rules, to get it all perfect and lined up. Sometimes you have to come in fast, break a few rules and just land it.
That is what most would-be bloggers need to do – just publish it. Get it out there. Get online and get known.
Maddi, you get the 50 point bonus. Well done.
Geoff
What a great comment Geoff and what a great story. Really inspiring and uplifting.
How simply making an instant decision of breaking all the rules but getting there with perfect landing won you the comp that day. It definitely is not necessary to follow all the steps mainly because they can be corrected/perfected later on.
That is precisely what I have done here. Didn’t wait for everything to be perfect to get this Blog up and running instead just went for it. And now I’m going to be correcting those simple steps along the way.
And what a great response I have had so far, I most humbled. I didn’t even think I’d get any more than 5 comments and that was also wishful thinking if you ask me.
I sincerely hope to see you around this Blog more often and look forward to reading yours too.
Thanks a million Geoff. Thanks for the 50 points too
Maddi.
Hey Maddi,
Just wanted to wish you luck with your blog and good job on getting your first few posts out there. I enjoy reading your posts on the Warrior Forum, that’s why I popped over. You are always very helpful and positive. I think you will do really well as you have a natural writing style which always translates well for teaching.
Best wishes,
Toby
Thank you so much for your compliments and comment, I really appreciate it.
I’m still new to the blogging platform but getting used to it slowly. Lets see if
we can build this into a larger than life blog. My only reason to start this
blog is to keep it real and relative, there is much hype and skepticism out there
its crazy. Hopefully this Blog will make a difference in many lives.
Thanks for popping over and I hope to see to you around more often.
Regards,
Maddi
